Toledo isn't a bad shout mate... About the correct distance!

I said the outskirts, must be somewhere not far from motorway that will be dog friendly. Its bang in the middle.

Alternatively if you want to see a few sights, Toledo is lovely.

You can't beat the Tendring Peninsula on a sunny day and it's a lot closer.

If i was in the car and looking to make a night of it i'd probably do Madrid.

But taking a large van, i'm worried about getting parked in a major city.

Ferry wasn't fucking cheap to be honest. Fucking £875 for a dog friendly cabin. Boat doesn't look the best either. Needs must though!

Dog should be OK... Depends how bad the Bay of Biscay is i suppose... I've heard some horror stories.

Somewhere on the outskirts of Madrid seems the obvious choice?

Re: Driving to Costa Del Sol
That’s a good idea.

How much was the ferry?

And do you reckon the dog will be alright on a boat for that long?

Not done it that way but have got the EuroTunnel and driven through France as got family friends with a house in the Dordogne Valley that i stayed at overnight there and then on down through the Pyrenees to the Costa.

Doesnt help i know but thought i'd share my experience.
